Note from the coach: Matt ran his personal best a week ago. He has been on both the winter and spring track teams for the past two years. He works hard and is improving every year! Matt is coachable, funny, and a great teammate.

Note from the coach: Meredith is a senior who has competed on the Spring Track and Field team, but is joining our winter team for the first time. Meredith is a 5’ high jumper currently tied for 7th in Suffolk County. She is also part of the squads that broke the school records in both the Sprint Medley Relay and the 4x400m Relay.

Note from the coaches: Coco is an eighth grader that does a tremendous job representing Pierson Varsity girl’s basketball. Over the last 3 games, Coco has led the team in scoring with 22, 13 and 21 pts. She is consistently scoring 15+ points per game. Coco is quickly becoming one of the higher scorers in the county. #piersonathletics

Note from the coach: Idel Villar is a sprinter and runs the 55 meter dash in 7.6 seconds, and 300 meter dash in 45 sec. He is also a member of the 4x200 meter relay. Idel is a hard worker and a pleasure to coach! #piersonathletics
Sara O’Brien was last week’s athlete of the week for Winter Track. Way to go Sara! This is her second time being picked for Athlete of the Week this year!
Note from the coach: Sara is a freshman joining our winter team for the first time. She has competed in the 3000-meter run and knocks significant minutes off her time at each and every meet. Sara is small but oh so very mighty! Distance runners will need to watch out for her. #piersonathletics

Note from the coach: Maya made the semi division tourney beating the #2 seed in the quarter to earn all county as a sophomore. She finished the year very strong beating hills East 6-2, 6-3 in the team and quarter.
